Food for Thought E-Forum: Heat pumps & circular living: A sustainable future for Tasmania

News | Events

SLT is excited to introduce Reclaim Energy’s Rob Crook and Natalie Bailey, as they get us ready for the Big Day of Circular Living Ideas, by presenting this informative lead-up event e-forum on heat pump hot water and their long-term environmental benefits.

Rob  & Natalie will discuss how heat pumps and technological advancements have shifted the hot water market, a market that had not evolved for decades.

Forming an average of 25-30% of total household energy bills, water heating is a sector we can make significant milestones in. The standard gas and electric systems we are all used to will consume around 12KW of energy per day and emit extreme levels of pollution contributing to global warming.

Having marked the milestone of reducing emissions by 28 million tonnes, Reclaim Energy is on a mission to educate communities on a new way to manage your water consumption whilst reducing bills by 80% and rewarding consumers for responsible water heating.  They discuss how water consumption and their products fall into the subject of circular living, from utilising pre-existing natural refrigerants to recycled tanks and end-of-life disposal.

Rob Crook, Reclaim’s TAS Relationship Manager & Master Plumber – speaks on the technology that has resulted in creating a first of its kind system, giving consumers complete transparency on how their systems are used and the amount of energy they are using through the WiFi app.

Learn about how weather conditions can affect heat pumps and the benefits of the Reclaim systems, they’re covered with the longest warranty on the market and a system tailored to Tasmanian weather conditions.  They clarify the government rebates and 0% interest loans available in TAS and the legislative changes you should be aware of to help you make informed decisions about heat pumps and electrification journeys.

A live link for the e-forum will be posted here in the lead-up to the event, alternatively you can watch the eforum at your leisure via the SLT YouTube channel.  A link to the recording will be posted here at the conclusion of the event.
